Tortoise Shell
Our Tortoise Shell acrylic is a specialty acrylic we just adore! It gives the feel of a true rich Tortoise Shell style finish.
It is slightly transparent meaning you will be able to see a shadow if you try to glue a brooch back to it.
Both sides have a smooth, high gloss finish and is the same on the back and the front. Tortoise Shell acrylic cuts finely detailed shapes well with a smooth, polished unmarked edge.
Thickness is close to 3mm but can vary up to 1mm either way.
Tortoise Shell Acrylic engraves well but usually with very little contrast. It is recommended that if you would like to increase the contrast of the engraving applying a paint fill before removing the paper would do the job.
Our standard white protective paper is applied front and back to protect the acrylic face while cutting. It will need to be removed once your order is received

Our Patterned acrylics are a unique mix of patterns to bring some patterned goodness to your designs. They are wonderful when you need a little pop of difference here and there.
