Simple Shapes is a service of parent company Online Laser Cutting, we have over 15 years of experience working with laser cutters and specialty acrylics and woods. We are a small team working out of Alexandria in Sydney's bustling inner city. Our amazing production team can get things done at lightning fast speed using our high quality machines and wonderful materials. We work quickly and efficiently cutting back the wait times you usually find with other laser cutting companies. We pride ourselves on the best customer service and are always on email (during business hours) so you will get a reply very fast!

We are constantly sourcing and collecting only the finest materials from around the globe so you have LOTS of choice when ordering your pieces from us. Currently we have 340+ materials in sock ready to use, with more always on the way! Our shapes collection is the biggest online, with more to be added soon!

We use a high powered, top of the range laser cutters to cut your chosen shapes out of flat sheets of material.

We use a laser cutting machine to cut each shape out of your chosen material. This machine uses a very fine laser beam to cut through flat sheets of plastic or wood, it is very precise resulting in incredibly detailed and accurate cuts each time. Each shape is then removed from the sheet and placed into a bag and shipped to your door! Our many years of experience in the field ensures you receive exactly what you were thinking you would. You will receive your chosen shape(s) (and any inner cutout pieces) in a small plastic bag. There will be an individual bag for each different material in your order. The shapes will have a protective paper applied to the front and back to protect them during manufacturing and transport and which will need to be peeled off when you receive them.

Each shape will be covered in protective paper, this is a very fine white or brown masking paper we apply to the material before cutting so that the laser does not burn the face of the material as it cuts through, sometimes the laser can flame up a little (especially on thicker materials) and this can cause “burn marks” on the unprotected materials, the protective paper is a way of ensuring that the flat face of the material is clean and smooth once the paper is removed.

Australian Shipping
All orders are sent out by express post mail Australia Wide. You will receive the tracking number once your order has been posted. All jobs ship from our factory in Alexandria, Sydney, so if you are in the express post zone you should receive it the next day, if you do not, please check your tracking and get in contact with any issues.

International shipping
International orders are generally sent by tracked parcel post using Australia Post. Your tracking number will be emailed to you so you can keep an eye on it. Shipping internationally (out of Australia) takes approximately 10 business days (longer during busy times) If you have any questions feel free to get in contact.

Our turn around times are generally very fast and we do our best to get jobs out the door at lightning-fast speed. You can expect your job to be ready in approx. 1 - 2 business days + express post shipping.

If you’d like an update on the exact time when your order will ship, please get in contact.

Not Happy with your delivery? If you are not happy with any of your pieces or something looks a bit “off” please contact us immediately. The laser cutters do some funny things sometimes and materials mixed up. It can be fixed quickly and replaced. If you’d like a refund on any pieces then please get in contact so we can discuss this also. Please note that as your shapes are made specifically for your order we do not offer refunds for change of mind, but we are always happy to help with any problems that may arise.
